Join us through 4 jam packed weeks of exploring and learning! The YMCA STEM Academy offers a hands-on, engaging experience for students to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through fun and creative activities. Our first week will focus on coding, where students learn the basics of programming and logical thinking by creating their own digital projects using Scratch by MIT. The Rube Goldberg sessions challenge students to design complex machines that perform simple tasks, while other activities like launching rockets, building balloon cars, and experimenting with chemical reactions bring science to life. With multiple opportunities to build and invent using LEGO and Spheros, the academy fosters imagination, teamwork, and problem-solving in every session.
